MOULTRIE, GA- Doris Roberts Brinson, 83, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Colquitt Senior Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Preacher Coty Thomas and Mr. Gentry Widner officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Chris Ward, Zack Ward, Tim Hobbs, Colin Millison, Gentry Widner, and Joey Brinson.
Born December 3, 1940, in Brooks County Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Wade Releford Roberts and Pennie V. Massey Roberts. Mrs. Brinson loved gardening and could grow just about anything she wanted to. She was a fantastic cook who would prepare wonderful meals for her family and friends. Mrs. Brinson enjoyed finding out about her family history and others through ancestry and genealogy. She liked to travel and visit new places when she could. Mrs. Brinson loved her Lord and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Luther Brinson; great grandchildren, Kathleen and Peyton; brothers, Arthur Roberts and Vernon Roberts.
Survivors include her son, Rodney L. Brinson, Sr. and wife Joy; grandchildren, Rodney “R.J.” L. Brinson, Jr.; Chakara Brinson Pittman; great-grandchildren, Jaylen Rentz, McKylee Rentz, Liam Brinson, Greyson Brinson, Waylan Brinson, Dakota Brinson and Anthony Pittman; brother, Theron Roberts; sister, Maomie Roberts; and several extended family members and close friends.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangement.
