Doris Stella Burns

Doris Stella Burns passed away November 13, 2004, in her home in El Paso, Arkansas, at the age of 84. She was born December 1, 1919, in El Paso, Arkansas to Hoy and Zera Gillham. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who passed her love on to her family and those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She was a God loving member of Union Valley Baptist church in Beebe, Arkansas.

Surviving her are her husband of sixty-seven years, Floyd “Hack” Burns; three daughters, Bren Simon of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mae Schapery of Austin, Texas and Diann Norman of Little Rock, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Randy Schapery of Austin, Texas, Dawn Umphrey of Indianapolis, Indiana, Dee Norman of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tammi Eglington of Santa Monica, California and Thad Norman of El Paso, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren, Tasha McCauly of Santa Monica, California, Dylan McCauly of Santa Monica, California, Ryan Schapery of Austin, Texas, Julie Ann Schapery of Austin, Texas, Jacob Rudd of Indianapolis, Indiana, Aubrey Umphrey of Indianapolis, Indiana; and one sister, Therma Harvey of Gilmer, Texas.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2004, at Union Valley Baptist Church, Beebe, with burial in Grissard Cemetery in El Paso.
