With heavy hearts but joyful memories, we celebrate the life of Doris Madeline Cadorette, born on February 27, 1929, in Berlin, NH. Doris passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, just a few days shy of her 96th birthday, in her beloved home of Springfield, MO.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Doris worked to remain close to her kids and was always interested in their lives. Doris' compassion extended well beyond her immediate family, and she had a lifelong dedication to helping children. She donated countless winter coats to the Coats for Kids program by Crosslines and hundreds of stuffed animals and winter hats to various charities. She lived simply and frugally and loved reading. She retired from a fulfilling career as an aide in Respiratory Therapy at Cox Health. Doris had a quick wit and enjoyed making others laugh.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Irenee and Marie St. Pierre, husband, Leo, and son, Donald. She is survived by her children Nancy Carlson, Leo Jr, Diane Hall, Theresa McCoy, and Linda Cleek. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Doris leaves behind a legacy of warmth and resilience that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her laughter, wise words, and loving nature will be forever remembered.
Doris' favorite charity was Ozarks Food Harvest's Weekend Backpack program. This program helps alleviate childhood hunger on the weekends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor at ozarksfoodharvest.org/donate
Doris was a blessing to many and she will be greatly missed.
