Doris Delores Clark (née Abrams), age 72, peacefully transitioned to her eternal home, surrounded by her two sons on January 1, 2026. Doris was born on August 27, 1953, in Thomasville, Georgia, to the late Nathaniel H. Abrams Sr. and Lena H. Abrams

From an early age, Doris began her journey with God and was baptized in her youth, laying a spiritual foundation that guided her throughout her life. Her faith was reflected not only in her beliefs but in the way she lived—through compassion, service, humility, and love for others. She trusted God’s guidance and carried her faith quietly, yet faithfully, in her daily walk.

Doris dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a social worker with the Department of Family and Children’s Services, where she compassionately advocated for families and children in need. Her work reflected her deep sense of responsibility, empathy, and commitment to community.

Outside of her career, Doris found joy and fulfillment in spoiling her only grandson, Ellis C. Denson, mentoring a young Josiah Ross, quilting, gardening, and participating in Toastmasters, where she enjoyed fellowship, personal growth, and meaningful conversation. She was known for her calm presence, wisdom, and the steady love she extended to those around her.

Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Clark Sr.; her brothers, Nathaniel Abrams Jr. and Albert Abrams; and her parents, Lena H. Abrams and Nathaniel Abrams Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, E. Carlton (La’Tanya) Denson and David (LaStacia) Clark; her grandson, Ellis C. Denson; her nephews, Nate (Joya) Abrams, Kellen Abrams, and Jonathan Abrams; her niece, Monica Abrams; and great-nephews, Bennet N. Abrams & Christopher J.W. Abrams, Sister in Laws, Myra, and Debra Abrams.

She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of extended family & friends. With special acknowledgement to Melanie Abrams, Vernell Duckley, Robert “Brother” Simmons, Charlene Bond-Hampton, Dilene Marie Carr, and Kellie Blackwell.

Doris’s life was a testament to faith, service, and love. Though she has transitioned from this earthly life, her spirit and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
