Of Nashua, New Hampshire died Tuesday at the Hunt Community Nursing Center after a prolonged illness.

Doris was born and raised in Nashua and after her marriage she moving to Waltham to live and raise her family.

Doris was a Registered Nursing having been employed for many years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Nurse at the former Metropolitan State Hospital until her retirement.

In her years living in Waltham both she and her late husband were active communicants of the Sacred Heart Church and in her later years she was a dedicated communicant of the Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua.

After retirement and spending as much time with her family as possible, Doris enjoyed Traveling, Bingo games and her favorite were Slot machines.

She was the daughter of the late Rudolph & Josephine ( Lippi ) Barsanti, sister of the late Alice Nolan and the wife of the late Louis DiChaira who died in 1989.

She is survived by her children Mrs Mark ( Ann Marie ) McManus of Mason, Ohio. James DiChaira of Cary, North Carolina, Michael DiChaira of Hudson, Massachusetts, and in addition she leaves three grandchildren, Bridget, Sheila & Louis McManus, her sister Doris Powers of Florida and several Nieces & Nephews.

A Graveside committal service is being planned with husband at Mount Feake Cemetery in The Spring. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Doris's Memory to the Hunt Community Nursing Center, 10 Allds Street, Nashua, New Hampshire 03062. The Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody Street, Waltham is assisting Doris's family with arrangements.
