Doris L. Field, 100, of Evans, GA, passed away on December 18, 2025.
Doris was born in Foss, OK to James F. & Bertie L. (Crabb) Carpenter on March 15, 1925. She married Billy A. Field on February 3, 1943 in Foss, OK.
She worked as a Homemaker. She and Billy volunteered at nursing homes in Grandbury, TX and Evans, GA. She was a member of West Acres Baptist Church.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband Billy, parents, siblings, and daughter in law Jennie B. Field.
Doris is survived by Max Field (Gena), Jerry Field (Sherry), Bobby Field (Valorie), 7 grandchildren, 11 great- grandchildren, and 6 great- great- grandchildren.
The family of Doris wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Jonathan E. Reimer and the entire staff at Pruitt Health, where she volunteered and was a long-time resident.
Arrangements provided by Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Augusta, GA.
A memorial service will be held in the spring in Missouri, where Doris and her husband’s ashes will be spread.
