Doris Frank, age 95, wife of the late Marvin Frank, passed away on March 29, 2025, while in an Assisted Living Facility in Georgia, near her daughter and family. Doris was born on June 12, 1929 in Duncan, SC, and was one of 8 children born to the late Lex and Cynthia Smith Emory. Doris (Dot) graduated from Spartanburg General Hospital School of Nursing, and worked for over 39 years as an orthopedic nurse with Orthopedic Associates in Spartanburg. She was an active member of Temple B'nai Israel in Spartanburg for over 60 years, and also volunteered her services to Mobile Meals in Spartanburg for many years.
She is survived by her children, Sam and Cynthia Frank of Greensboro, N.C., Cindy Ruchin and her husband David of Snellville, Georgia, her two grandsons, Bryan and Andy Ruchin, their spouses Lauren and Jennifer, and four great-grandchildren, Maya, Monroe, Layla, and A.J.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Rabbi Yossi Liebowitz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Care Committee, Temple B'nai Israel, 146 Heywood Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
