Funeral services honoring the life of Doris Faye Willoughby Gipson (Nani), 91, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison Mississippi. Family will receive visitors prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00a.m.
Mrs. Gipson was born in Sartinville, MS on August 20th, 1934, to Percy D. Willoughby and Mamie Craft Willoughby. She went home peacefully to be with our Lord on November 8th, 2025, in her residence in Tomball, TX. Mrs. Gipson graduated Nursing School in 1955. She served as a nurse in hospital and clinical settings through1985. She loved sports, playing competitive softball, basketball and golf. But her Christmas cookies and holiday dinners were a great joy for her family. Her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren where her pride and joy and her love for them immense. She was a Marine Corp wife for 22 years with "Gip" her husband, serving two 1-yr out of country deployments while she served the home front working and raising Jon and Richard.
Mrs. Gipson was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Sentell Gipson; her parents Percy and Mamie Willoughby; siblings and their spouses Tynes & Grace Willoughby, William "Bill" and Dorothy Willoughby, Monte and Milton Craft, Elmer Ray Willoughby, and J.C. Willoughby.
She leaves behind two sons and their wives, Jon M. and Pam Gipson of Magnolia, TX and Richard and Missy Gipson of McComb, MS; Five grandchildren, Travis Daniel and wife Sarah Ruth, Benjamin Issac and wife Casey, Shelby Love, Avery Royce, and Sydney Craig Gipson; and two great grandchildren, Dylan Thomas and Charles Cooper Gipson and loving nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers: Gene Willoughby, Billy Willoughby, Frank Willoughby, Scott Willoughby, Travis Gipson and Ben Gipson.
