Doris M. Gonyeau (Mander) December 22, 1942 – November 23, 2025
It is with deep love and sorrow that the family of Doris M. Gonyeau (Mander) announces her passing at the age of 82. Doris was born on December 22, 1942, in Elmira, New York. She passed peacefully on November 23, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland, Florida, with her family by her side.
Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin “Dutch” and Lilitha Mander; her brothers, George (Josephine) Mander and Charles (Sylvia) Mander; her sisters, Nancy (Donald) Bennet and Wava (Robert) Sampson; and her beloved sons, Alfred “Alfie” Gonyeau and Edward J. Mander.
She leaves behind her daughter, Sally (Howard) Kennedy; her sons, Eugene (Irene) Freeland and William (Lori) Green; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Doris also leaves many cherished friends who were touched by her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit.
Doris was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who know her.
