Doris María González de Betancourt, cariñosamente conocida como Lulu y Mama Doris, nació el 12 de octubre de 1953 en Cali, Colombia. Falleció a la edad de 72 años el 12 de octubre de 2025, en Ocala, Florida.
Con una vida dedicada al amor y la crianza de su familia, Lulu encarnó la esencia de una "excelente ama de casa y madre". Su compromiso inquebrantable de alimentar y cuidar a sus hijos fue un testimonio de su amor y devoción ilimitados.
Era una mujer de carácter extraordinario: madre, amiga, guerrera, cariñosa, valiente, heroica, sabia, maravillosa, única, inspiradora, fuerte, resistente y leal. Lulu era verdaderamente el centro de nuestro universo, y su ausencia deja un profundo vacío.
Sobrevivido por su amado esposo, Antonio, ocho queridos hijos, veintiún nietos adorados y tres preciados bisnietos, el legado de Lulu vive en los corazones de su familia y amigos. Dejó marcas indelebles en todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.
Su espíritu y fuerza continúan inspirándonos. El notable viaje de Lulu a través de la vida nos enseñó el significado de la resiliencia, el amor y la lealtad, dejando un impacto duradero en todos los que encontró. Siempre mantendremos su memoria cerca, celebrando la increíble mujer que fue.

With a life dedicated to loving and nurturing her family, Lulu embodied the essence of an "excellent homemaker and mother." Her unwavering commitment to nurturing and caring for her children was a testament to her boundless love and devotion.
She was a woman of extraordinary character: a mother, friend, warrior, loving, courageous, heroic, wise, wonderful, unique, inspiring, strong, resilient, and loyal. Lulu was truly the center of our universe, and her absence leaves a deep void.
Survived by her loving husband, Antonio, eight beloved children, twenty-one adored grandchildren, and three cherished great-grandchildren, Lulu's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She left indelible marks on all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her spirit and strength continue to inspire us. Lulu's remarkable journey through life taught us the meaning of resilience, love, and loyalty, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. We will always hold her memory close, celebrating the incredible woman she was.

A visitation will take place on October 16th, 2025 at Roberts of Ocala West Chapel from 4-7 PM.
The graveside service and burial will take place on October 17th, 2025 at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens at 10 AM.
