Mother Doris Ann Grisson, 74, of Albany, Georgia departed this life on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at her residence in Albany, Georgia.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Greater United Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 1512 Philema Rd, Leesburg, GA 31763.
Doris Ann Grisson (McAfee) was born on June 15th, 1950 in Dougherty County to the late Ruby Washington McAfee and the late Frank McAfee Sr.
Doris was educated in the Dougherty County School System and was a graduate of Monroe High School Class of 1968.
Doris brought boundless joy and love to everyone she met. Doris was an unselfish caregiver and would invite anyone into her home that needed her help, which made her a caring soul. She always had a smile to share and a warm hug for those she loved. Her kindness and unwavering support will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the cherished memories she leaves behind.
Our beloved mother and grandmother departed this life on March 8th, 2025. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Frank Sr. and Ruby, her brother, Frank Jr., her sister, Sharon Emiarata, and her Stepmother, Ardella McAfee.
Doris Grisson leaves to mourn her daughter, Zandra Z. Payton (James), her two grandchildren, Brittany A. Smith and Zachery J. Payton; two sisters, Alpha Dunnum and Beverly Mills (Dennis); two brothers, Charles McAfee and Curtis Reid; a host of nieces, Mesa Butler, Stephanie Owens-Gilkesson (Eric), Tasha Terrell, Keela Terrell, Kenya Terrell, and Kawanna Terrell; nephews, Darryl McAfee, Marcus McAfee, Jimmy Hall, Ryan, and JoelTerrell.
