Doris Alene Noles Haley, 98, of Calvert City, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Doris was born in Marshall County on April 28, 1927 to the late Wallace Watson Noles and the late Alma Mae Winders Noles. She was a member of Calvert City First Baptist Church. Doris was a gifted homemaker and enjoyed working in her flower garden, sewing and crafting. She never missed an opportunity to dance, including ballroom in her youth, square dancing with her husband, or attending the senior dances. Doris never left the house without her makeup flawlessly applied and her outfit meticulously chosen.
She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis O'Bryan (Tommy) of Calvert City, Debra Dowdy (Randy) of Kevil, and Rhea Ivey (David) of Calvert City; five grandchildren, Richard C. O'Bryan (Lisa), Misty O'Bryan Reynolds (Dale), Russell Armstrong (Christa), Amanda Elder (Rob), and Brandon Gillham; ten great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 66 ½ years, Hershel C. Haley; her parents; one brother, Wallace Rudell Noles; and one sister, Lavena Noles Bratcher.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations made to the Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home; 211 W 5th St Benton, KY 42025, with Rev. Dr. Jim Ewing officiating. Burial will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
The visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Collier Funeral Home.
