Doris Ann Hidy

1932 - 2026

Doris Ann Hidy, age 93, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born the fourth of 13 children to Edward Harold and Ethel Marie Stevenson Gerhardt, of Atlanta, Ohio, on May 23, 1932. She married Ronald Marwin Hidy on May 3, 1953. They lived in Circleville and Washington Court House, Ohio, before moving to Madison, Fla., where she worked side by side with Ronnie at his dairy products sales business for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ethel; by siblings and their spouses: Charles (Anna Belle) Gerhardt, Virginia (Robert) VanEtten, Glenn (Marita) Gerhardt, David Gerhardt, Opal Hidy and Karen (Don) Wolfe; brothers-in-law: Leonard Gibson, John Roberts and Lowell A. Hidy; and son-in-law, Martin Wagner.
Doris Ann is survived by her husband of 72 years, Ronnie; daughters: Patricia (James) Brennan, Deborah Wagner and Sharon (Dave) Allred; grandchildren: Scott (Lisa) Cherry, Christopher (Lindsey) Cherry and Kimberly Joi Reinhardt; great-grandchildren: Savannah, Connor, Clayton and Abigail; her siblings: Harold Gerhardt, Marilyn Roberts, Gerald (Carolyn Sue) Gerhardt, Richard (Karen) Gerhardt, Janet Gibson, and Gloria (Alan) Gabriel; and brothers-in-law: James E. Hidy, Gary (Norma) Hidy, Wayne (Julia) Hidy and Phillip E. Hidy
The family received friends from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home of Madison. A graveside service followed immediately after at 2 p.m., in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Jack Tilk officiating.
