Doris Hitt Obituary
Doris Evelyn Revis Hitt, 83, of Nebo, passed away on the morning of Monday, January 29, 2024 at Mission McDowell.
Doris was born to her late parents, Charles Walter Revis and Carrie Frances Wright Revis in McDowell County on August 12, 1940.
Doris was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Kearfott following many years of service. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and fishing and was known as a great cook. Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband William “Bill” Hitt; her children, Keith Holtsclaw (Karen), Jayme Cauthen (David) and Christi Hill (Terry); step children, Steve Hitt (Paula), Greg Hitt, and Kristina Higdon; two brothers, Billy Revis and Wade Revis; six grandchildren, four step grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Walker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 at the church. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
