Doris Jewell Stanley Guinn

Doris Jewell Stanley Guinn, age 91 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 2, 2023. She was born in Sylvania, AL to the late Loy Stanley and Leavy Pope Stanley, moved to the North Georgia Area at a young age, and was a member of Battlefield Baptist Church. Doris retired, in 1997, from UTC after more than 20 years. She was a devoted and loving Christian Lady, who enjoyed being with her family and friends. Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. Lynch; daughter, Billie Sue Goodman; brother, Marion Stanley; and grandchild, Elizabeth Headen. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, of 28 years, Donald Guinn; daughter, Pat (Gleason) Brown; sister, Peggy (Don) Tucker; brother, Robert Stanley (Patti).Step Children: Brenda (Curt) Hampton, Teresa (Rocky) Allmon, Dennis (Alicia) Guinn; Rene (Rick) Haney; Phyllis Ivey; Greg Guinn.3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 12 step-grandchildren; 24 step-great grandchildren; 3 step-great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens-South.
