Doris Nell Vanderford Jordan, 86, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at her home. The family will be having a memorial service at 3:00pm Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon, MS with visitation starting at 2pm at the church.
Doris was born in Burnsville, MS and spent most of her life in Brandon, MS where she raised 3 children. She retired from Packard Electric and was a very active member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church. There she served the shut-in church members, visiting with them and bringing them videos of the services. Her favorite hobbies were tending to her flowers, “making pictures”, and traveling the world. She was never to be challenged in a game of dominoes.
Her faith was steadfast and impacted generations within her family. Her light was spread everywhere she went and on everyone she encountered. She believed in love, and never giving up on those that needed it.
She had the strongest love for her family. She regularly visited her siblings in and near Corinth, MS and always enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Doris had many names among family: Dot, Aunt Dot, Momma, and her favorite, Mamaw.
Survivors include her daughters, Theresa Croxton, M. Ann Blanton; grandchildren, Darsel Tebo, III (Heather), Jessica Tebo, David VanHuizen, Josh VanHuizen (Marla), Chris Craddock (Wendy), Cortney Craddock, Katie Croxton, and Elijah Blanton (Brittany); great grandchildren, Ryan, Preston, Dylan, Dayde, Jaydehn, David, Noah, Seth, Savannah, Breleigh, Nathan, Brody, Kennedy, and Sully; siblings, Linda Layton, Patsy Joan Grey (Bill), Bettie Jean Braddock, (Paul), Jacky Feazell (Jan), Donnie Sue Hodum (Jimmy), Susie Ann Boyles (Mark), and Wanda Korba (Kyzer). She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Bonds, father, Lib Vanderford, son, Darsel Tebo, Jr., brother, David "Buddy" Vanderford (Lib), grandson, Jason Craddock, sister, Gayle Westbrook, and brother, Lillborn Vanderford.
In lieu of flowers, please make all memorial contribution's in memory of Doris, to Cross in the Crossroad, P.O. Box 42, Corinth, MS 38835.
