Doris Karlowski, a longtime resident of Ferndale, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Born on June 10, 1935, in Highland Park, Doris lived a life defined by compassion, service, and devotion to her family and faith. Doris was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Karlowski, whom she married in 2010. She was a loving mother to Greg Geibig, William (Maralee) Lachovsky, Glen (Sharon) Lachovsky, Matthew (DeeDee) Lachovsky, and the late Jeffrey and Linda Geibig. She was a proud grandmother to Lindsay, Dustin, Erik, Joseph, and Russell, and she cherished the memories of her late grandchildren, Amber and Jonathan. Doris was also the dear sister of the late Norman Bevirt. A woman of deep faith, Doris was a devoted member of Guardian Angels Church, where she spent countless hours volunteering and supporting her community. Her kindness extended beyond the church walls as she also gave her time to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, offering comfort and nourishment to those in need. Professionally, Doris dedicated many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, where her gentle care and compassion touched countless lives. Doris will be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering strength, and commitment to serving others. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 10, from 9:00 - 11:30 am at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blocks east of Woodward), Royal Oak.
