Doris Jane Keith

Doris Jane Keith, 71, of Huntsville, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Logan County, Ohio on February 12, 1954, to the late Irwin Perry Sr., and Florence Mae (Carpenter) Hatfield. She is also preceded in death by her siblings: Dorothy Lucille, Mary Elizabeth, Ira (Lee) Moore, Joseph (Loretta) Moore and Dick Moore and her dog, Akita. 

She leaves behind her children: Nichole Lee (Shawn) Keith, Carmen Danielle (Chris) Loudermilk, and Craig Alan (Dr. Kim) Keith Jr.; grandchildren: Elexis, Kristopher, Austin, Timothy (Kaleigh), Nathan, Kyle, Brittany (Austin), Bethany, Brooklyn, Bailey, Kodie (Abby), Raevhun (Alexis), Sarha (Jared); great grandchildren: Araya, Elleigh, Thomas, Vincent, Patroclus, Aidyn, Silas, Sebastian, and Baby Loudermilk; sister, Mary Jane (Santa Claus); brother, Pete (Julie) Hatfield; sister-in-law, Alice Mae Moore; her longtime partner and husband, Russell Carl Samson; many nieces and nephews; and her fat furry cat, Purdy Girl. 

Doris loved working in her yard, mowing and gardening. She enjoyed being outside riding 4-wheelers or hanging around the bonfire. She enjoyed yapping, posting on Facebook, and playing games with her family. One of her favorite things to do was give Russell hell and make memories with those she loved, especially her grandchildren. She loved being the center of attention and keeping up on all the gossip.

Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Eichholtz & Daring Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Huntsville Cemetery.
