Doris Kelch Kirkley went to be with her Lord on Friday, April 25, in Clifton. Doris was born in Tynan, Texas on October 23, 1942, to Alvin and Alma Lieke. She attended. school in Skidmore--Tynan. She graduated from Texas Lutheran College in Seguin in 1964 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She married Kirk Kirkley on June 14, 1998, at Grace Presbyterian Church. Doris taught school for thirty-five years. She served the following school districts: Victoria, Academy, Taylor, Moody, and Troy. She taught in the business department. She also participated in the UIL Contests, having several state winners. She enjoyed teaching and devoted much of her time to helping students. She also had the Special Friends program at the elementary level. Doris was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Temple for some forty years. She was a member of the Ruth Women's Circle. Doris is survived by her husband Kirk Kirkley of Temple, one sister, Mary Lee Franklin, 2 nieces and 1 nephew, all of Lubbock and 2 step-sons, Dale and Alan of Claremore, OK. Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, Temple, TX. A memorial service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church on May 2,2025 at 2PM
