Doris D. Knuth

Doris Dolores LaMountain Knuth, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, made her way peacefully home to God on the evening of October 24, 2025, just 10 days after her 94th birthday. She spent her last evening just as she had so many others, talking to the love of her life and husband of 75 years, Donald Knuth.
Doris was an accomplished singer in her youth, and sang both in a band and on the radio. She spotted Don from stage one night and pronounced to the audience that he would be the man she married. They were indeed married when they were 18 years-old. Her loyalty and devotion to her husband never failed.
In addition to Don, Doris is survived by her children Margaret Donnelly, Donna Knuth, Stephen Knuth, Robert Knuth, and Michael Knuth, as well as her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As both a mother and grandmother, Doris was fiercely loving and protective. We were all incredibly blessed to have her in our lives and will always miss her dearly.
Doris was a devout Catholic. She dedicated her life to living and spreading the word of God and encouraged us to do the same. We rejoice that she is at home in heaven, finally pain-free, with all of our dear ones that went before her.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11am Wednesday, November 5th at St. Mary's Church in Galway, NY. A calling hour will precede the service from 10am to 11am at the church. Burial will follow in Galway Cemetery.
