Doris A. Leberknight

Doris A. Leberknight, 88, passed away November 26, 2025, at Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born May 15, 1937, in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Mary and Chester Lesher.

She was raised on her parent's farm with her two sisters and was a graduate from the first CASHS graduating class where she was on the library staff. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and a past member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Doris worked as an administrator at the American Can Corporation and previously with the Farm Bureau, where she met her husband. She enjoyed puzzles, reading and crocheting. Doris was part of various organizations throughout her life.

Doris is survived by her son, Gerald M. Leberknight.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Chester Lesher; her two sisters; and her husband, Gerald T. Leberknight.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at St. Luke Lutheran Church at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Christopher Frye officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the Lincoln Cemetery.
