Doris Kathleen Ledlie

Doris Kathleen (Thompson) Ledlie, 101, wife of the late Walker W. Ledlie, passed away October 1, 2022 in Prosper, Texas. Graveside services for Mrs. Ledlie will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on Monday, October 10 at 2 pm with Tom Cox officiating.
Mrs. Ledlie was born August 25, 1921 in Gravette, Arkansas to the late Dr. John Sherman and Ada Adella Thompson. She graduated from Gravette High School in 1939 and attended San Diego State Teachers College and Kansas City College of Commerce. After working in the insurance business in San Diego and Kansas City for two years, she returned to Gravette to work for her father. She was married to Walker W. Ledlie August 25, 1947, and they moved to Bartlesville where Mr. Ledlie worked for Phillips Petroleum Company and she worked for Cities Service Oil Company. In 1954 their daughter was born, and Mrs. Ledlie chose to remain at home to raise her. Mr. Ledlie passed away June 18, 1999, and Mrs. Ledlie continued to make her home in Bartlesville until 2013 when she moved to Prosper, Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Diana and Harold Schremmer of Prosper, Texas, granddaughter and her husband Drs. Micah and Melissa Burch, Dallas, Texas, grandson and his wife, Jarred and Analiz Schremmer, Plano, Texas, and four great grandchildren, Mikayla Ann and Garrison Walker Burch of Dallas, Texas and Marcus Javier and Maxwell Ricardo Schremmer of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Ledlie was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters.
