Private family service will be held at the Osage Gardens Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Linda.

Roy Leon Richardson, a cherished member of the Skiatook community and a dedicated family man, passed away on March 18, 2026, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Born on July 29, 1941, in Cleveland, Oklahoma to Jesse and Ruby (Carr) Richardson, Roy led a life marked by service, hard work, and devotion to those he loved.

Roy’s early years were spent in Skiatook, where he received his education and graduated in 1959. A significant chapter began when Roy met Linda Lou Arsenault while both were serving in the United States Air Force and he married Linda on September 6, 1963, in Fairfield, California. The couple made their home in California until 1965, when they returned to Skiatook to settle and build their family life.

A proud veteran, Roy served his country with honor in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he devoted many years to his career at Pitney Bowes, where he was a skilled service technician and repairman. His professional dedication was matched by a passionate love for fishing and horses, interests that brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ruby Richardson; his beloved wife, Linda Richardson; and his sister, Mildred Dorsey. He leaves behind a loving legacy through his two children, David Richardson and his wife Cindy, and Christy DeMauro. He also is survived by his sister, Roberta Jackson, grandson Kristofer DeMauro and 4 other grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends who will remember him with great affection.

Roy’s life reflects a commitment to family, country, and community. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, yet his memory will endure in the hearts of those fortunate to have shared in his journey.
