Bruce Alan Bugg, a cherished member of his family and community, was born on November 13, 1955, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Bobby Jack and Juanita Jo (Jones) Bugg. He passed away on January 14, 2026, in Owasso, Oklahoma, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will not be forgotten.
Bruce grew up in Skiatook, Oklahoma, where he received his education and graduated from Skiatook High School. Throughout his career, he dedicated himself as a welder, working for both John Zink and Dowell. His expertise and dedication to his craft were evident in the quality of his work, winning him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
A man of many interests, Bruce found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for golf, often spending sunny afternoons on the course. His love for good food and Western movies brought friends and family together, creating many memorable gatherings. Above all, Bruce cherished the moments spent during family get-togethers, where laughter and love were always present.
Bruce is survived by his beloved daughter, Amber Lanphere, and his granddaughter, Brooklyn, who brought a light into his life. He is also survived by his mother, Juanita Jo (Jones) Bugg, and his sisters: Terri Burwell and her husband James, Vicki Gibson and her husband Bill, Brenda Harper and her husband Rick. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will carry on his spirit and values, as well as a host of other relatives and friends who were fortunate to know him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby "Jack" Bugg, and his brother, Jack David Bugg. Their memories will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Bruce Alan Bugg’s life was marked by kindness, laughter, and a deep love for his family; the impact he made on their lives will forever hold a special place in their hearts. His legacy will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
