Kathleen Bugg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery on Feb. 26, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Kathleen Page Bugg. Known affectionately as Kathy or Page to her friends, she left this world peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 75. Kathy's final moments were spent at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, surrounded by the love and comfort of family and dear friends - just as she would have wanted.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 50 years, Billy Bugg, who preceded her in death, along with her parents, James and Virginia Page. We take comfort in imagining her joyful reunion not only with Billy, but also with the pups who brought her so much happiness over the years - Taylor, Roo, Pugsley, Izzy, Muffin, and Manfred.

Kathy leaves behind her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Bugg Brown (Marques), and her treasured grandchildren, Aiden and Harper, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sweet dog, Tess, and her lively grand-dog, Roxie, both of whom she loved and doted on endlessly. Her absence leaves an immeasurable space in their hearts, softened only by the hope that she and "G-Daddy" are reunited in Heaven.

She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings - sisters Betty Gandy of Memphis, Elaine Griffith (Alan) of Savannah, GA, and her brother, Jimmy Page of Memphis. Kathy adored her many nieces and nephews and delighted in their joyful family "swarms" and the countless laughs they shared over the years. Sisters- and brothers-in-law Cheryl and Larry Max of Atoka; Brenda and Sid Witherington of Germantown; and Fred and Leslie Bugg of Memphis will deeply miss the warmth, humor, and companionship they enjoyed throughout more than 50 years as family.

A lover of music and animals, Kathy embraced life with enthusiasm and heart. She was an avid supporter of the arts in Memphis and a spirited patron of local theatres and music groups. Over the years, she faithfully supported the Memphis Humane Society and other shelters, whether through generous donations or by opening her home to some of the quirkiest and most lovable dogs around.

As we grieve the loss of her sweet spirit, generous heart, and playful nature, we invite you to remember Kathy as we do: by watching a beautiful sunset, raising a glass in celebration, petting a dog, and listening to your favorite music.

A Memorial Celebration will be held on Sunday, March 15th at 4:00 pm at Chimes and Occasions- 201 S. Cooper St., Memphis, TN. 38104. This will be a cocktail party atmosphere and refreshments will be served.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Kathleen's memory to the Humane Society of Memphis or TRIAD (Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders), two causes close to her heart.
