Doris Ann Leimkuehler, 94, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Trustwell Living of Overland Park, Kansas.
She was born August 9, 1930 in Carrollton, Missouri, daughter of Otto and Rosalia (Gerling) Valbracht. On March 19, 1950, in Carrollton, Missouri, she married Henry Leimkuehler who preceded her in death. She later worked at Remedies Drug (which is now Jodi's Pharmacy) and Bittiker Funeral Home. She loved playing cards with friends, bingo once a month in spring and summer months at the Carroll County Historical Museum and spending time with family and friends.
Doris attended school at South Baker and graduated grade school at Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Carrollton High School. She worked for Carroll County Trust Company as secretary to the president for many years.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was in the Mary Martha Group and was a past member of Evening Guild and Altar Society. She was also a member of Women's Club, Garden Club, Modern Homemakers and Amicitia.
Survivors include five daughters, Delores MacDonald and husband, Bud, Olathe, Kansas; Diane Turbitt, Dallas, Texas; Debbie Elliott and husband Mike, Austin, Texas; Denise Brown and husband Chris, Chandler, Arizona; Donna Wilson and husband Jim, Leawood, Kansas; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Special thanks to Angie Dowell of Carrollton for her love and care over the past several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Joel Valbracht and a son-in-law Bill Turbitt.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Bittiker Funeral Home in Carrollton, Missouri with Pastor Benjamin Theiss officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Zach Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Brian Jenkins, Kyle Turbitt, Duane Leimkuehler and Jeff Kohler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Jenkins, Chad McReynolds, and Kevin Casner.
The family suggests contributions to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Society.
