Gilbert proudly and honorably served in the United States Army and was known for his strong work ethic and helpful nature. He enjoyed staying active through hobbies like playing horseshoes, bowling, mowing lawns, and working on Dodge vehicles. Gilbert was always willing to lend a hand and had a talent for fixing and building things, including crafting dollhouses for his granddaughters. He shared over 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Janet, and deeply cherished time spent with both his close group of friends and his family—especially watching his grandchildren’s sporting events. Gilbert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
