ONAGA – Doris May Lieb, 90, of Onaga, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at her home.
She was born January 23, 1934, the daughter of Charles Wallace and Zinna June Matzenbacher Dungan in Alva, OK. She graduated from Avard High School in Avard, Oklahoma.
Doris married Stanley Eugene Fiscus in 1953. From that union she had four children. They were divorced. She married Charles Lieb in 1983 at Westmoreland. He survives, of the home.
Doris worked in hospitals at Waynoka and Alva, Oklahoma, and for the Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline in Moorland and Weatherford, Oklahoma. She worked in construction of the pipeline in Havensville, KS and Lineville, IA. Doris also worked in the kitchen at the nursing home and restaurants in Onaga, KS. She also helped Charlie on the farm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Michah Fiscus and Josh Smith, a daughter-in-law, Linda Fiscus, three brothers, Charles, James and Bud, and two sisters, Joann and Lydia.
Other survivors include two sons, Terry Fiscus, Blackwelll, OK, John Fiscus (Pam) Waynoka, OK, two daughters, Stana Fiscus Zehr, Wichita, KS, Conla Fiscus Brotzge (Dave) Louisville, KY, sister-in-law Margaret Huffman, Marysville, KS, a brother-in-law, Mark Lieb, Onaga, KS, nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Aaron, Tyler, Sarah, Seth, Jason, Melissa, Jessica and Kody, and twenty great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Inurnment will follow the service in Onaga Cemetery. There will be a visitation held from 10:00 a.m. to service time on Friday morning. Memorials are suggested to the Onaga Senior Center, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS 66521.
