Samantha Sue Justice, 57, of Holton, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025 at her home. She was born December 13, 1967 in Holton, the daughter of Larry and Nancy Dial Justice. She graduated from Onaga High School in 1986, and received her Bachelor's Degree in finance from Washburn University. Samantha was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta and the Altar Society at the church. She was a tax coordinator for Mize CPA's accounting firm in Topeka for twenty years. Prior to that she worked for Schlaegel's Tax and Accounting, where she served as a tax clerk, and ASA Marketing, Inc., where she served as a controller. Samantha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Everett and Susie Justice and Ray and LaVerne Bell, an aunt and uncle, Darlene and Don Hall, and a cousin, Tim Hall. Survivors include her parents, Larry and Nancy Justice, Havensville, two sisters, Tabitha Schlegel and husband Brent, Onaga, and Elisha Toebbe and husband Russell, Louisville, KY, two nephews, Jaxon and Ethan Schlegel, a niece, Olivia Schlegel, and her fur baby, Stella. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18th at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Havensville Cemetery. Samantha will lie in state Thursday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton, where a Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m., followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Stormont-Vail Foundation, to be used for the M. Darlene Hall Nursing Scholarship, and may be sent in care of Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, PO Box 1034, Holton, KS 66436.
