Marsha D. Meisinger, 78, died Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City.
She was born June 30, 1946 at Onaga, the daughter of Charles and Freda Teske Grutzmacher. She graduated from Onaga High School in 1964. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from the University of Kansas and a Master's Degree in Medical Technology.
Marsha was a member of the First Congregational Church, UCC in Onaga and Delta Gamma Sorority at the University of Kansas.
She had worked at the Community Hospital in Onaga, St. Marys Clinic, St. Francis Hospital in Topeka and the Menninger Clinic.
She married Hugh Miner in 1971 in Onaga. They were divorced. She married Jack Meisinger in 1993 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 2018.
Marsha was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Charles Grutzmacher, Jr., Margo Gregg and Woodford Grutzmacher.
Survivors include two sons, Hugh Miner (Kami Fisher), Overland Park and Matt Miner (Ariel), Lawrence, a daughter, Ashley Miner, Overland Park, a step-son, Matthew Meisinger (Ashley), Lenexa, a step-daughter, Katie Barnett (Jeff), Overland Park, five grandchildren, Miles, Sienna, Jude, Ben and Sam, and two step-grandchildren, Henry and John.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 28th at the First Congregational Church in Onaga. Burial will follow in the Onaga Cemetery. Marsha will lie in state from Noon until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Memorials are suggested to the Margo Grutzmacher Gregg Scholarship Fund at Onaga High School, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS 66521.
