Doris Arline Lomax

Doris Arline Lomax of Dover, Delaware, passed away Saturday, March 15th, 2025. She was 93.
She was born September 2nd, 1931, in Trapp, Maryland, to the late James Roland Clark and Edna Ruth Tomlinson.
Doris lived her life in Maryland, Pennsylvania and finally settled in Delaware. She worked as a nurse in various locations throughout her years but retired as the Smyrna High School nurse. She loved camping, traveling, gardening, game shows, sudoku puzzles and The Golden Girls. Her and her late husband traveled to all 50 states and became what most call "Snowbirds" traveling to Florida every winter. However, most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Lomax, her daughter, Sandra A. Tribbitt, and her sister Bessie Hughes.
Mrs. Lomax is survived by her son Robert J. Lomax Jr. (Megan Brennan), granddaughter, Jaime L. Bush (Douglas M. Bush), two sisters, Edna Wheeler, and Mary Lou Vozzo, two great granddaughters, Jaden A. Bush and Alexis M. Bush, and one great great granddaughter, Brielle J. Dickson.
Services will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday April 5th, 2025, at Manship Chapel, 4912 Burnite Mill Road, Felton, Delaware. Friends and family may visit one hour prior. There will be a Fellowship dinner at Manship Chapel following the service.
Interment will be held at 11:00am, Monday, April 7th, 2025, at Sharon Hills Memorial Cemetery, Dover, Delaware for immediate family.
