Doris Lina Lowry

Doris Lina Lowry, 93, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born October 13, 1932 at Schwetzingen, Germany to Gottlieb Walter Thron and Hilda Theresia Schweitzer.

She loved being the wife of a Silver City businessman; but her true passion was her home and family. There was nothing else like it. She is probably already busy shining Heaven's gates a little more. She took such pride in everything she did. Cooking through the holiday season was her favorite time of year.

She is survived by two sons, Ray Lowry and wife Kris of Silver City; David Lowry and wife Sandy of Silver City; three daughters, Darlene Ramirez and husband Joe of Silver City; Karen Brower and husband Warren of Melissa, TX; Shirley Townsend and husband Gary of Tucson, AZ; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; one brother, Winfred Weisenberger of Oftersheim, Germany; daughter in-law, Gayle Lowry of El Paso, TX; special nieces, Gabi Wolf, Sylvia Stucknys, and Chris Tillery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Virgil "Tex" Lowry; her son, Tommy Lowry; her grandsons, Robert and Timothy McGee, and Daniel Brower; her daughter, Susan McGee; one brother, Norbert Weisenberger; one sister, Helma Ricker.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 20th at 10:30-11am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels. The funeral service will commence at 11am with Pastor Joseph Gros officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Memory Lane cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her husband Virgil Lowry. Pallbearers are Michael Wallin, Tim Lowry, Eddie Misquez Jr., Ted Bootzin, Alexander Misquez, and Quinton Bailey.
