Doris N. Mackey, 80, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord, Friday morning July 28, 2023
A native of Rock Hill, SC, she had resided in Jackson County for over 60 years and was the daughter of the late George P. and Irene Mackey
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sylva and enjoyed doing arts and crafts.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by 2 daughters; Kelly and Angie Hambrick, 2 brothers; George Jr and Butch, stepson Randy Cabe and a nephew Andy White.
She is survived by her sister Carolyn (Jerry) Sheets of Rock Hill, SC
2 Sons; Chris (Stephanie) Seago of Cullowhee
Tony Cabe of Sylva
12 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren, stepdaughter; Diane Beck and a nephew Kenny White of Rock Hill, SC also survive
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday August 12, 2023 at Lighthouse Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Rogers and Larry Bryson officiating
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Doris's name to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2577 US Hwy 441 S. Sylva, NC 28779
or to Promise Land Baptist Church, 8359 Hwy 107, Cullowhee, NC 28723
