Mrs. Doris Conner McCormick of Halifax, VA passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home is Brookneal, VA. She was born August 13, 1932 in Halifax County, VA and was 91 years old. She was the daughter of the late Archer Whitfield Conner and the late Minnie Watts Conner and was married to the late Lawrence Albert McCormick.
She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Doris loved reading, working in her yard and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Moen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times on Tuesday at 1164 Golf Course Rd., Halifax.
