Doris Vera Milner of Lake St. Louis, MO passed away on June 17, 2024 at the age of 89.
Doris was born May 2, 1935, daughter of Albert T. and Earlene E. (Lindwedel) Bateman. She grew up in St. Louis with her parents, sister, and two brothers. She attended and graduated from Beaumont High School where she made lifelong friends. These friends gathered monthly for many years.
Doris later met and married Gene Milner and they had five children; Lynn, Brian, Margo, Marcia, and Jon. Doris was fortunate to be able to stay at home with her children while they were growing up.
Later in life she did work outside the home. In 1992 she and Gene moved to Florida and lived the retirement life. She enjoyed playing golf, making new friends, traveling, and enjoying life. She was the nurturer of the family and did a great job of taking care of her family.
She is survived by her five children, Lynn (Kenny) Hannar, Brian Milner, Margo (Randy) Miller, Marcia (Robert) Woolfork, Jon (Donna) Milner; eleven grandchildren; Christine, Kimberly, Alecia (Erik), Trevor (Holly), Brit, Cody (Jasmine), Derrick (Jessica), Morgan, Jamie, Kyle (Abby), Katy (David); fourteen great-grandchildren, Tressie, Isabel, Sam, Asher, Abel, Levi, Merritt, Madelyn, Emma, Cameron, Dexter, Elona, Bailey, and Keegan.
She is preceded in death by her father, Albert Tyler Bateman, Mother, Earlene Ella (Lindwedel) Bateman, husband, Eugene "Gene" James Milner, grandson, Jim, brothers, Al and Tom Bateman, and sister, Maureen Nelson.
