Obituary published on Legacy.com by Browning-Forshay Funeral Home - Hawthorne on Apr. 8, 2023.
Mirrer, Doris Lorraine, age 88, of Lakewood, NJ, left us on Friday, April 7, 2023. Born in Paterson, NJ, Doris grew up in Hawthorne before moving to Glen Rock where she lived with her family for most of her life. In 2015, she moved to Lakewood where she spent the remainder of her life.
Doris was a valuable asset and co-owner of the family business, Mirrer Trucking Co., where she worked for many years alongside her husband and sons. She was a member of the Community Church of Glen Rock. In her spare time, she enjoyed family trips to Aruba and visiting her second homes in Greenwood Lake and Sea Isle City, NJ, where she loved spending time on the beach and in the ocean with her family. She enjoyed participating in activities such as boating, swimming, and watersports. She loved dancing and was especially fond of listening to music. Throughout her life, Doris also enjoyed knitting, baking, ceramics, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She knitted many beautiful gifts for her family over the years.
A proud Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, Doris has made many happy memories with her family. Doris was the beloved wife of the late William Mirrer, Sr. (1996), loving Mother of Laurie Mirrer of Hewitt, NJ, William Mirrer, Jr. and his wife Kristine of Riverdale, NJ, and David Mirrer and his wife Jill of Glen Rock, NJ.
