Doris Ann Moorman

Doris Ann Moorman, 80, resident of League City, TX, and native of Houma, Louisiana, passed peacefully on Thursday, December 11, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 9, 1945, in Houma, Louisiana, to Milton Joseph and Lucia Marie Levron Foret.

She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence "Wayne" Moorman, daughter Aleesha Lynn Blanchard Johnston, son-n-law Eric Johnston; grandchildren Bridget (husband Mason Gagliardi), Aaron Flanery and Taylor Johnston; great-grandchildren Christien, Kaiden, Camren, Kaileb, Collin, and Samantha; great-great grandchild Rosalee Grace; sister Evelyn M. Lirette and brother Don Foret; sister-n-laws, Brenda, Alice and Cecile Foret.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton J. Foret, Sr., and Lucia Levron Foret; previous husband, Cyrus Junius Paul Blanchard; brothers, Claude Joseph Foret, Charles Joseph Foret, Milton Joseph Foret, Jr.; brother-in-law, Allen Lirette; niece, Sandy Lirette; and nephew, Emil Foret.

Doris will forever be remembered as a very loving, strong, and independent wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, as well as traveling and sightseeing.

The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 6:00 pm with a Vigil at 6:30 pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573. A Mass will follow on Wednesday at 10:00 am at St. Mary of the Expectation Catholic Church, 1612 East Walker, League City, Texas 77573. Interment will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 10:45 am at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
