In Loving Memory of Doris Page
May 27, 1944 – November 9, 2025

Doris Page (formerly Doris Cone, née Doris Hendershott) passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, surrounded by love. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, on May 27, 1944, she was the cherished daughter of Anna Jewel Terry and Archibald "Buck" Hendershott.

Doris attended Little Rock Central High School and was a sophomore during the pivotal 1957 integration crisis, when Governor Orval Faubus infamously deployed the National Guard to block Black students from entering the school. The school was subsequently closed for the year, a moment that deeply shaped Doris's understanding of justice and resilience.

She went on to earn her degree in elementary education from the University of Central Arkansas, where she was a proud member of the Delta Zeta sorority. Her time there was filled with friendship, laughter, and a lifelong commitment to service.

Doris married David Cone and together they raised two sons, Dave and Chris. She began her career as an elementary school teacher and later returned to education as a volunteer tutor, working with underprivileged students in the Little Rock School District. As a single mother, Doris balanced raising her boys with a successful career in sales, eventually launching her own business importing antiques from England-a passion project that reflected her love of history and beauty.

In the mid-1990s, Doris met her soulmate, Paul Page. They married in 1999 and built a joyful life together in Maumelle, Arkansas. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved traveling, reading, and spending time with her family, always bringing warmth, wit, and wisdom to every gathering.

She is survived by her beloved husband Paul, her sons Dave and Chris, daughter in law Dee Wilson, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Doris's legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the values she instilled, and the love she gave so freely.

Her family finds comfort in knowing that Doris has gone to be with the Lord, embraced by eternal peace and surrounded by love. Her life was a testament to perseverance, compassion, and joy-and she will be deeply missed.

A family-hosted memorial service has been planned for 11am, November 21st at the First Baptist church in Maumelle at 100 Valencia Dr, Maumelle, AR 72113.

In lieu of flowers please give to Arkansas Hospice Foundation; 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock AR 72116. The nurses & all other staff members were exceptional in their care, compassion & love to Doris. They are a nonprofit organization in Arkansas dedicated to providing the best care & comfort to our loved ones.
