Doris J. Paterniti, 94, of Jamestown, Died peacefully at 8:50pm, Friday (January 31st, 2025) at UPMC Chautauqua, Jamestown,NY. She was born in Forestville, NY on September 29th, 1930 the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Stearns) Polisoto. Doris graduated from South Dayton High School and attended Bu alo State Teachers College and graduated from Jamestown Community College school of Nursing. Along with helping her husband in the family business, Paterniti Notions and Novelties, she locally cared for several patients as a private duty nurse until retirement. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a passion for kindness and positivity. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events and was their biggest cheerleader. Doris is survived by her two daughters, Dawn (Todd) Eklum of Jamestown, and Trudy Stevens of Pittsford, NY, Eleven Grandchildren, Andrew Eklum, Zachary Eklum, Cecelia Eklum, Janelle Stevens, Glen Stevens, Krista Stevens, Rush Stevens, Michelle (Ben) Parker, Jacob Stevens, Gavin Paterniti, and Rhiannon (Ashley Dsouza) Paterniti, and 2 great grandchildren Lily and Ford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Paterniti, whom she married on April 19th, 1953 and died January 9th, 2017, and her son Guy G. Paterniti who died on March 5th, 2007.
