Doris Mae Patton

Doris Mae Patton, 81, of Woodbridge, VA died November 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 25, 1941 to the late Ernest D. and Maetile (Batton) Lawson, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Patton; her son, Daniel E. Patton; brother, Richard Wanzer "Dickie" Lawson.
She is survived by her children, Tracy O'Donnell (Bob), Chris Patton (Carolyn), and Samuel Patton, Jr. (Patricia); her grandchildren, Ryan O'Donnell, Caroline Crimmins (Ian), and Ashley Delinay-Patton. She is also survived by her siblings, Ernest Davis Lawson, Jr. and Wanzer Lee Lawson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Patton enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing and worshipping with her church family of Marsh Baptist Church. Mrs. Patton was a childcare provider to many children in the Woodbridge area for many years. She will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Friday, November 25, 2022 at Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd. Dale City, VA 22193. A Life Celebration service will be held 11am at Marsh Road Baptist Church, 1514 Old March Rd. Woodbridge, VA 22191, followed by interment at Dumfries Cemetery.
