Doris had married her Husband, George Pihaylic in 1950. She worked as a CNA for roughly 10 years and had retired but had turned her compassion to caring for others toward raising her grandchildren full time and anyone who needed help, she opened her home to. Doris enjoyed cooking, road trips and spending time with family & friends.
Doris is survived by her daughter Brenda Gibson, son in law Rick Gibson, her brother Ivan Leach, sister-in-law Carol Leach, daughter-in-law Diana Pihaylic, 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband George Pihaylic, mother and father Fred & Ada Leach, brother Johnny Leach, Sisters Margie Wilson, Patty Powell & Joyce Cardoza, sons Mike Pihaylic & Johnny Pihaylic, daughter Katie Poncia, granddaughter Breanna Barker and grandsons Brian Smith & Johnny Pihaylic Jr.
For those who wish to pay their respects, services will be held Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at The Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary Chapel. Viewing will be from 9am - 11am followed by the funeral service starting at 11am. The burial will follow the service at Graves Cemetery approximately 1pm. Followed by a celebration of life potluck at the Orland Moose Lodge, 605 5th Street, Orland, CA 95963.
Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary.

Gram was a very kind and loving person. She would littlery give you her last dollar if you needed it. I will always cherish my visits with her. I was not blood but married in they family but to Gram AI was one of hers. Forever in my heart, love you always until we meet again Kelly

Grandma Doris always made me smile and laugh. She also made me call her grandma. I will always cherish the memories of her either in the kitchen or in her recliner when I´d visit with my bff her granddaughter Joline. She definitely will be missed by so many. Fly high grandma
