Dorothy Darlene Sudberry, age 89, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, September 5th, 2025.

Darlene was born in Compton, California, on February 18th, 1936, to Marvin Guy and Dorothy E. Fundenberger. She lived in Southern California. Darlene married Charles Parkerson and had two sons, Jerry Parkerson (deceased), and Robert Parkerson. They divorced, and a few years later she married Everett Williams and had their son, Christopher Williams.

She went to work in a drug store serving ice cream for about a year, and then started working as a waitress, which she did for many years. During that time, she married Jim Sudberry, who had five children, Fred, Kathy, Edward (deceased), Jeanette (deceased), and David.

They moved to Orland and had a dairy farm for a few years, then returned to Fontana were Jim worked as a truck driver.

After Darlene and Jim divorced, she went back to working as a waitress until she completed her studies to become a real estate agent, which she did until she retired.

Darlene moved back to Orland in 2006 which is where she has lived ever since.

She is survived by her sister Kathy, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday, September 11th, 2025, at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Orland, California.

Arrangements are held under the direction of Sweet-Olsen Family Mortuary.
