Mrs. Eunice Alvenia McCarty Sudberry, age 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 23, 2024, at Feldhaus Memorial Chapel. Reverend Lisa Cook will be officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Mount Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time, Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sudberry was born February 21, 1932, in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, to the late James Freeman and Albeulah Elliot McCarty. She worked for many years in manufacturing for GE in Murfreesboro.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Danor Landers Sudberry, Jr. in 1999; they were wed in 1947. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Carlton "Mac" McCarty, a sister, Jesse Lee Hart, and a grandson, William Christopher Moore.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Jernigan and Marie Moore, both of Shelbyville; seven grandchildren, Michael (Cheryl) Moore, of Shelbyville, TN Jeff (Sandy) Moore, of Cannon County, TN, Monte (Lacy) Moore, of Shelbyville, TN, Eric (Tisha) Jernigan, of Texas, Christopher (Julia) Jernigan, of Coffee County, Phillip Jernigan, of Shelbyville, and Samuel Jernigan, of Franklin County, TN; twelve great grandchildren, Lance Moore, Jesa Moore, Addison Moore, Matthew Moore, Zeda Moore, Aveli Moore, Kiala Moore, Nacola Moore, Mercedes Jernigan, Maedyn Jernigan, Alexander Jernigan, and Teagan Jernigan; and one great-great-grandson, Koa Grey Moore.
Feldhaus Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
