Doris E. Ritter, 82, of Lititz, and formerly of Manheim, died peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Luther Acres. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruth Schock Warner. Doris was the loving wife of the late Carl S. Ritter who died in March 2022, following 57 years of marriage. Doris worked many years in the baking department and continued as the restaurant manager of Woolworths Department Store, Lancaster. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim. Doris enjoyed flower gardening, baking, cooking, and cake decorating. She was well known for her baking and the many special wedding cakes that she created throughout the years.

Surviving are two sons: Kevin M. Ritter husband of Richard A. Zimmer of Fairlawn, NJ, Brett E. husband of Kristen H. Ritter of Manheim, a daughter, Gretchen L. wife of John Leibley of Manheim, and three grandchildren: Emily, Alex, and Luke. Preceding her in death is a brother, Kenneth Warner.

Services for Doris will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to: Masonic Village Hospice Care Fund, C/O Masonic Charities, Gift Planning Office, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
