Doris Ann Russ

Doris Ann Russ, 83 of Frederick, MD passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Dellinger Funeral Homes, Woodstock, VA. The burial will follow at Maurertown Brethren Church Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A reception will follow at The Woodstock Moose, 152 Moose Road, Woodstock, VA.
Doris was born on April 15, 1941, in Rockville, MD and was the daughter of the late Roger and Louise Shoemaker. She graduated from Richard Montgomery High School, Class of 1959. She loved reading, doing crafts, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Edith White, a brother, Roger Shoemaker, Jr., and a sister, Marie Ganbin.
She is survived by a son, Ralph Hurley III and his wife Dawn, a daughter Patricia Russ; three grandchildren, Ashley Hurley Appel (Brian Appel), Michael Wolford, Jr., Nathan Wolford; three great-grandsons, Colton and Austin Appel, and Bryson Wolford; and three sisters, Ruth Delph, Helen Miller, and Joan Mills.
