Doris June Salyer

Doris June Salyer, 86, passed away on February 26, 2026 in Blanchard, OK. She was born on October 6, 1939 in Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Doris was a woman of deep and devoted faith in Christ. Early in life, she committed herself fully to the Lord and cherished her relationship with Him. Blessed with many gifts, she faithfully used them to serve alongside her husband, Paul, for over fifty years as they led multiple churches in Kentucky and Oklahoma. Her faithful support in those churches influenced thousands of people for the Kingdom.

Doris was also deeply devoted to her family, a devotion exemplified in the way she loved, served and cared for them through her steady presence, heartfelt encouragement and wise guidance. She was a loyal homemaker, known for her beautifully maintained home that radiated warmth and welcomed everyone who entered. Her gifts in the kitchen were widely known, and she took great joy for thoughtfully preparing meals her family treasured. She loved to sing, decorate, and take special care with the little details, but nothing meant more to her than her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the greatest blessings of her life.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul Salyer and her 2nd husband Jon C. Meadors. Doris is survived by her brother Mike Meek. Her children, Timothy Salyer and his wife Angie, Greg Salyer and his wife Sharon. Doris also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Austin Salyer and wife Yen, Gregory Salyer II and wife ClaraGrace, Kayle Bonadie and husband Chris, Ashlynn White and husband John, and Chayse Martin. She also leaves behind 6 Great Grand Children.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family receiving guests from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at John Ireland Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at John Ireland Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
