Jimalyn was born Friday August 19, 1955, in
Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jim Bealer and Jerry Jacqulyn "Jackie" (Smith) Meeks and passed away Saturday February 28, 2026, in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 6 months and 9 days with her family by her side.
Jimalyn graduated from Ardmore High School in 1973 and attended class at Murray State College. She then spent her entire career as a public servant, working for the Ardmore Post Office for 31 years. She started her postal career working midnight shifts sorting mail and earned her way to the day shift as a window teller. She took great pride in her role as a friendly face and helpful hand to every customer who would come to her window. She enjoyed helping people solve problems and loved knowing that many of her customers would spend additional time in line just to make sure they could be served by her.
Jimalyn's ultimate pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She spent months preparing for vacations and creating meaningful, action-packed itineraries, whether for a trip to the beach, Dollywood, or Disney World. She devoted the same energy to preparing for holidays and poured her heart into searching for and giving "just the right" gifts - most recently turning Christmas morning into a scavenger hunt, sending the grandchildren racing through the house to find them. Every Christmas she worked to make it more special than the last, with new ideas for ways the family could eat, laugh, and connect with each other. She also enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, creating detailed instructions for recipes she'd perfected. She shared her love for excellent food with her kids, and her giving spirit extended to sharing meals with those she loved. She was a gracious hostess and was happiest watching others receive, whether it was a holiday she had planned, a quick dinner as a family, or activities prepared for the visiting grandchildren.
While she was kind and generous, she also had an incredible sense of humor and took every opportunity to play practical jokes on her friends and family. Anytime she gathered family in her home, laughter filled the room.
Jimalyn was also a competitor and loved to be active. As a child, she spent much of her time at the Ken-Cliff Lanes bowling alley in Ardmore, which was owned by her parents. She followed in her parents' footsteps as a talented bowler, setting many records in the local area and pursuing every opportunity to compete in leagues and tournaments. She also enjoyed outdoor activities and was an avid tennis player for many years. In later years, she found deep joy sharing her passions for tennis, skiing, biking, travel, home improvement projects, and working outdoors with Tex Marsh. For over 20 years he was her closest companion and walked beside her with unwavering care, love, and support.
Jimalyn's faith was important to her. She accepted Christ as her savior as a teen and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Ardmore when she was 18 years old. She spent her later years actively seeking to grow in her relationship with Christ. She found peace in His love and in her final days was comforted by the promise of being with Him. Above all, Jimalyn will be remembered by her family as leaving a legacy of kindness and a selfless spirit.
Jimalyn is survived by her children, Jon Dustin Stone and wife Genna; Jaime Stone Hammer and husband Toby; grandchildren Evangeline Stone, Lorelei Stone, Evelyn Hammer, Maxwell Hammer, and Lulabelle Hammer; niece, Jakki Stewart and husband Brandon; and longtime companion and best friend, Tex Marsh and she is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jill Johnson.
Jimalyn was truly passionate about her family and will be forever missed.
