Barbara Jane Lindeman

Barbara Jane Brown Lindeman passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026 with her family at her side. She was born August 11, 1952 to John Edward and Jean Crockett Brown in Ogden, Utah. She attended local schools and graduated from Ogden High School in 1970. She attended Weber State University on a music scholarship and played violin in the University Orchestra. She majored in Education and finished with a Bachelor's degree; earning her teaching certificate in 1974. She later completed her Masters Degree from Murray State University in Kentucky. Barbara had a love for teaching. She taught elementary school, Junior High and at the University level as a professor for BYU.

Barbara met her eternal soul mate, Carl E Lindeman, while attending Weber State University. They were married in the Ogden LDS Temple on June 7, 1974. They raised four children; Bret Carl Lindeman, Thomas Jordan Lindeman (Alexa O'Toole), Alison Lindeman Dunn (Nathan), and Nicholas John Lindeman. She has seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. She also has two great step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her two sisters, Martsie Spencer (DeVerl) and MaryAnn Holmes (Vern); and her son, Nicholas John Lindeman.

A viewing will be held Friday, February 27, 2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Myers Mortuary in Layton, 250 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026 in Saratoga Springs, Utah at the LDS Chapel at 10 E Centennial Blvd, Saratoga Springs, Utah. A short viewing will begin prior to services from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Internment will be in the Layton Memorial Park, 1867 North Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.
