Doris Ann Scruggs, 85, loving wife of the late Harold Scruggs, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grover Leland Tanner and Ollie Mae Bridges Tanner.
Doris adored Dollywood and went anytime she could. She loved the mountains and had a special love for flowers. More precious than anything was her family. Doris treasured her loved ones above all else, always eager to gather them for birthdays and holidays, creating treasured memories that will dearly be remembered.
Her legacy lives on with her children, Debby Durham (Greg), and Michael Scruggs (Tracy); her grandchildren, Crystal Culpepper, Channing Endress, and Ryan Scruggs; her great grandchildren, Eva, Emmaline, and Zander Endress; her lifelong friend, Brenda Alverson; and a brother-in-law, Garvin Wayne Scruggs (Sue).
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Evelyn Stroud; brother, Robert Johnson; and grandson, Johnathan Scruggs.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Nine Forks Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Nine Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
