Doris Francine Stubbs

In Loving Memory of Doris Francine Stubbs
On May 27, 1967, Doris Francine Stubbs was born to Frances Stubbs and the late Jerry Donald Stubbs in Birmingham, Alabama. Doris was the oldest of the five children. She was always mother's little helper, helping with her sisters Sonya and her twin sisters Katrina and Sabrina. The one that she spoiled rotten was her brother Quenten.
During Doris's childhood, she attended preschool and part of her elementary school years in Zweibrücken and Hanau, Germany. While traveling due to her father being in the military, Doris also attended elementary schools at Fort Rucker in Alabama and middle school in Fort Lee in Virginia. While living in Petersburg, Doris gave her life to Christ at Mount Olivet Baptist Church. After graduating from Petersburg High School in Petersburg, VA, Doris furthered her education at Virginia Commonwealth University and Strayer University.
When Doris moved to Northern Virginia, she joined First AME Church of Manassas. She sang with Psalms of Praise and The Women Choir. Doris was also a member of the Fredericka L. Hildebrand Missionary Society.
Doris leaves to cherish fond memories: sons: Lamar Stubbs of Petersburg and Diandre Stubbs of Manassas, VA; mother: Frances Cantey of Manassas, VA; stepfather: Isaiah Cantey of Manassas, VA; sisters: Sonya Stubbs of Richmond, VA Katrina Stubbs (Victor) of Manassas, VA, Sabrina Turner (James) of Bristow, VA; brother: Quenten Cantey (Kellee) of Fredericksburg, VA; granddaughters: Laila and Aloni Stubbs of Petersburg, VA; stepsisters: Shirley Bliss (Randy) of Anchorage, Alaska, Delphine Board (Frank) of Hampton, VA; stepbrother: Isaiah Cantey Jr, of Watertown, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Doris will forever be remembered for her kind heart, and unyielding dedication to her family and friends. Although her earthly body is with our heavenly father, her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made for her twin granddaughters' education at Go Fund Me.
